Mechanic: Resurrection is a 2016 American action thriller film directed by Dennis Gansel and written by Philip Shelby, Tony Mosher, Rachel Long, and Brian Pittman. It is the sequel to the 2011 film The Mechanic, which was a remake of the 1972 film of the same name. The film stars Jason Statham, Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Alba and Michelle Yeoh.

After the demise of his partner-turned-enemy Steve McKenna, Arthur Bishop, who narrowly escaped Steve’s murder attempt on him, retires as a contract killer. However, when his most formidable foe kidnaps the love of his life, he is forced to travel the globe to complete three impossible assassinations, and do what he does best: make them look like accidents.

Jessica Alba as the love interest of Jason Stathom is a treat to your eyes. Looks like the Indian censor has devoured some of the passionate scenes between Jason and Jessica which is unfortunate.

The romantic portions of the film are shot in exotic breathtaking locations of Brazil, Thailand, Phuket, Bangkok and Malaysia. Michelle Yoeh who once was a heartthrob of James Bond in ‘tomorrow never dies’ bond movie is now seen as an old lady which will cherish your memories. Same is the case with volcano and MiB Superstar Tommy lee Jones who is now an old man.

Jason Stathom steals the show with his screen presence and action sequences. The movie is racy and tightly paced and edited with brilliance. The cinematography is exotic. The screenplay is top notch. This is a dream film for action film lovers.

Some of the action scenes like climb in the tall building to assassinate a business man who is swimming on a rooftop swimming pool is a visual treat.

Go catch it in theatres before it vanishes.
